Capturing our impact
Zamzam Foundation is a respected Somali charity and the country’s leading national charitable aid organisation. Zamzam Foundation UK is proud to be supporting Zamzam Foundation in Somalia as it works to help Somalia’s poorest and most vulnerable people overcome the challenges of climate change and conflict and lift themselves out of poverty.
Every year Zamzam Foundation publishes an annual report to enable donors and partners across the world to read about its wide range of programmes. Each report includes messages from the Chair and Executive Director, income and expenditure figures, details of key programmes and partners, and data capturing how many people have been helped.
Zamzam UK also publishes its own annual report, which covers the period from the beginning of July to the end of June each year. The download links below include the ZFUK report for 2024-25 alongside the Zamzam Foundation reports for every year since 2022.
We are excited to see the work of Zamzam UK reported for the first time in the 2024 Zamzam Foundation annual report (see download link below, pages 3 and 34).
Help us empower families to lift themselves out of poverty
Education
Three million Somali children are out of school. Our schools give girls and boys from some of the poorest families a good education and real hope for the future.
Livelihoods
Over 10 million Somalis live below the poverty line. We help poor families earn a decent income by providing seeds, tools and livestock to farmers and grants to small businesses.
Peacebuilding
The climate crisis is causing conflict over scarce water resources and pasture. We are bringing communities together to resolve their differences and find lasting solutions.
