Our policies

Protecting our donors and the communities we serve

Somalia in need

Somalia is a country full of potential but hampered by the complex challenges of poverty, climate change and conflict.

Zamzam Foundation and Zamzam Foundation UK have a shared commitment to implementing a range of policies designed to ensure that we operate in a professional manner, safeguarding the interests of our donors and the communities we serve.

SAFEGUARDING

Our Safeguarding Policy reflects a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to any form of abuse and aims to protect children and vulnerable adults from harm

FINANCE

Our Bribery, Counter-Terror Financing, and Fraud and Corruption Policies aim to prevent misappropriation of funds and ensure that your donation reaches those in need

COMPLAINTS

We aspire to high standards of professionalism and accountability, and any complaints will be taken seriously and investigated. Email
complaints@zamzamfoundation.org.uk with any concerns

PRIVACY

Our commitments concerning privacy, data protection and cookies offer reassurance to donors that any personal information we collect will remain private, with donor confidentiality respected

Help us empower families to lift themselves out of poverty

Education

3.6 million children are out of school. Our schools give girls and boys from some of the poorest families a good education and real hope for the future.

Livelihoods

10.5 million people live below the poverty line. We help poor families earn a decent income by providing seeds, tools and livestock to farmers and grants to small businesses.

Peacebuilding

The climate crisis is causing conflict over scarce water resources and pasture. We are bringing communities together to resolve their differences and find lasting solutions.
