Qurbani – an act of worship and celebration

The tradition of offering and distributing Qurbani meat during Eid al-Adha is a powerful act of remembrance. It honours the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail (AS) in complete submission to Allah.

It is also an act of celebration. We celebrate Allah’s mercy and compassion—how He responded to Ibrahim’s unwavering faith by sparing his son and providing a ram to be sacrificed instead.

Through Qurbani, we share this celebration with families who would otherwise go without meat during Eid.
