This October, Zamzam Foundation UK is partnering with the Muslim Council of Britain to celebrate Black History Month through a series of free online talks exploring the rich history and cultural contributions of Islam in Africa.

The five-part programme will take place every Thursday evening from 7–8pm and will bring together respected scholars to shed light on Africa’s vital role in shaping Islamic civilisation, thought, and practice. From the legacy of Islam in Nigeria and Sudan to the heritage of the Horn of Africa and the stories of African converts in the UK, the series highlights histories that are often overlooked yet deeply significant.

Each talk also offers an opportunity to engage with Zamzam Foundation’s work, connecting past and present by honouring African Islamic history while raising awareness of the urgent humanitarian efforts we continue to deliver today.
